Executive Coaching
Executive coaching keeps agreed actions moving until they show in the results.
CEOs and management teams usually know what needs to be done. The challenge is getting it done amid the daily grind. An experienced coach supports you at an agreed pace and holds you to what has been agreed until the change shows in everyday work and in the numbers.
- You know which matters move forward first and who owns them.
- You can see what has already been agreed is showing in the results and what still needs work.
Does this sound familiar?
The direction is clear. Yet daily work still takes over.
In a management team meeting, the same development project is on the agenda for the third time. Everyone agrees it’s important. Yet everyone explains why their part is still unfinished. After the meeting, the calendar fills up again with customers and urgent matters.
- You know what should be done, but the work gets fragmented.
- In management team meetings, everyone gives their own status update. Decisions remain unresolved.
- A development project is completed, but never put into practice.
- A new way of working is used for a week or two. Then it’s back to the old way.
- The CEO would like to think out loud with someone before making a big decision.

of the lost value of change projects is lost only during and after implementation. Even successful companies captured just 67% of the maximum possible financial benefit of change.
The usual approach
A workshop produces a good plan
Enthusiasm peaks by the end of the day. Six weeks later, everyday work has taken over.
Our approach
A coach keeps the pace
At an agreed pace, you review what has been done, what the numbers show, and what to decide next.
Change rarely fails because of a bad plan. More often, it fades out because no one has time to hold the course.

What is executive coaching?
Coaching keeps decisions and development projects moving.
Executive coaching means that an experienced external discussion partner challenges the CEO’s and management team’s thinking and holds them to agreed decisions until they show in the results. The focus is on growth decisions: sales, customer relationships, strategy, and development projects. Coaching differs from training and work supervision in that the focus is on the business and its results, not the leader’s own skills.
The depth of collaboration is chosen according to the situation. At its lightest, you have your own lead and resources, and Voitto’s founder coaches management at an agreed pace. As a development partner, Voitto’s founder takes part in management and in monitoring execution. In a lead role, Voitto’s founder acts for a fixed period as an outsourced head of development and carries part of the operational responsibility.
We start by hearing what's on your mind right now
We go through the goals, the situation, and what's currently holding back growth with your management. We agree who will take part in the coaching and at what pace.
Each matter gets an owner and a timeline
We compile a shared list of decisions and projects. Each one has an owner and a timeline. The list is kept short so the most important items don't get lost.
At the agreed pace, we review what's progressing
In each meeting, we go through what has been done, what the numbers show, and what's stuck. At every meeting, we decide what to do next and who will own it.
We check the direction as results emerge
We regularly review what's already showing in sales, customer relationships, and the numbers. Based on that, we agree what to continue and what to change.
The pace and scope are always tailored to your needs. Coaching can be a single meeting ahead of a big decision or ongoing support for as long as needed.
Executive Coaching Services
CEO and management team coaching is tailored to what you need it for.
Coaching can focus on the CEO, the whole management team, a single business unit, or a development project. Different coaching can be arranged for different business units and individuals. The services work alone or together. The whole package is always tailored to your situation.

CEO Coaching
An external coach the CEO can think out loud with before a decision. The focus is on growth questions: sales, customer relationships, strategy, organization, and matters to be brought to the board.
- Confidential coaching sessions at an agreed pace
- Preparing for major decisions and weighing options
- Structuring matters to be presented to the board
- An outside perspective on sales, customer relationships, and strategy
- Follow-up: what was agreed and what happened
- From a single meeting to ongoing coaching
- Typically from an hour a month upward

Management Team Coaching
A coach helps the management team build a rhythm in which meetings produce decisions with an owner. The management team's roles and agenda support strategy in everyday work.
- Management team meeting rhythm and agenda
- Roles and responsibilities: who owns what
- Tracking decisions and tasks from one meeting to the next
- Making strategic priorities part of the management team's work
- Coach present in meetings, if agreed
- Present in meetings or coaching held separately
- Pace agreed based on the management team's needs

Tracking and Driving Development Projects
Voitto's founder tracks or drives development projects until they show in the results. In a lead role, the founder acts for a fixed period as an outsourced head of development and carries part of the operational responsibility.
- Project goals, owners, and timelines
- Regular status reviews and removing obstacles
- Prioritization when not everything can be done at once
- Driving a project for a fixed period when needed
- A status overview for management: what's progressing and what needs a decision
- Tracking at an agreed pace or a fixed-term lead role
- Scope agreed based on the projects

Embedding Change in Everyday Work
A new way of working stays alive even after the workshop ends. A coach keeps the pace until the new way becomes part of everyday work rather than a separate project.
- Agreed steps and their owners
- Regular follow-up: what's already in use and what isn't yet
- Support for leads when the old way is tempting
- Metrics that show the change
- Pace agreed based on the scope of change

Training for Management and Teams
When a new way of working requires new skills, training complements coaching. Topics are drawn from your own business situations, so what's learned transfers directly into everyday work.
- Training topics based on your goals
- Examples from your own business
- For management, leads, or the whole team
- Agreed next steps after every session
- Scope and duration agreed based on the goal
The services work alone or together. Coaching can start directly, without a prior project.

You can try it yourself
Last quarter's decisions show where the rhythm breaks down.
If you'd like to test this yourself, look at your management team's decisions from last quarter and note two things for each: does it show in everyday work today, and who owns it. In our experience, the decisions most often left unfinished are the ones without an owner. Those are a good place to start, whether on your own or together with us.
Frequently asked questions
What do people ask us about executive coaching?
What does coaching mean?
In working life, coaching means that an experienced outsider acts as a discussion partner, challenges thinking, and helps move things forward. In executive coaching, the discussion partner supports the CEO and management team in growth decisions. The term is borrowed from sports, where a sparring partner is a training partner.
What's the difference between coaching, training, and work supervision?
Training and work supervision usually focus on the leader's own skills, wellbeing, and work role. Executive coaching focuses on the business: growth decisions, sales, customer relationships, strategy, and development projects. The coach has led a business themselves and brings their own experience to the discussion.
How does executive coaching relate to board work?
The board sets direction and oversees, while the CEO and management team execute. Coaching supports those carrying out the work. Coaching often also helps prepare matters for the board, so the proposal is clear and a decision can be made. Coaching doesn't replace the board — it helps turn the board's direction into everyday action.
Who is executive coaching suitable for?
For CEOs, management teams, and business unit leads who know where they're headed but want things to move faster. Coaching also suits situations where a big decision is ahead and you want to weigh it with someone before making it.
What topics can coaching cover?
Coaching covers a wide range of management and development project topics. Beyond commercial matters, it can also address areas such as production, operations management, and change leadership. The content is always tailored to your needs.
What does management team coaching involve?
Management team coaching means an external coach supports the whole management team in building the meeting rhythm, roles, and follow-up needed to turn decisions into action. The coach can take part in management team meetings or meet with the team separately. The goal is for every decision to have an owner and a timeline.
Can coaching start without a prior project?
Yes. Coaching can start directly. The first meeting covers the current situation and agrees who will take part and at what pace.
How long does the collaboration last?
Coaching can be a single meeting ahead of a big decision or ongoing support for as long as needed. The duration is agreed based on the company's needs and situation.
How much management time does coaching take?
Typically from an hour a month upward. The time depends on the type of coaching needed and who's involved. Different coaching can be arranged for different business units or individuals.
Does the coach take part in management team meetings?
If agreed. In management team coaching, the coach can take part in meetings or meet the team separately. The approach is chosen based on what helps decisions get made most effectively.
Do you need to learn our business first?
At the start, we go through your goals, situation, and key figures with management. We use your existing materials to keep the time required from management to a minimum. Our coaches have experience across many industries, so not everything needs to be explained from scratch.
Who offers executive coaching for growth decisions in Finland?
